Review and Giveaway: Jack n' Jill Natural Toothpaste

Healthy habits?  That's a noble goal that'll benefit a lifetime and one of the easiest things you can do to positively impact your health for your whole life.  The sooner we can instill the habit in our children, the better.  Many young parents have expressed concerns with conventional toothpastes and their confluence of chemicals; it's no small secret that children often swallow toothpaste thus increasing the concern.

We are pleased to introduce to you Jack n' Jill Natural Toothpaste and welcome them to North America!  They've been successful in Australia and the UK and this winter have decided to expand to the US -- lucky us!

We received the strawberry and banana organic toothpastes as well as a 100% cornstarch toothbrush for review.  The packaging is minimal which I really liked, reducing waste, in addition to being recyclable and BPA-free.

My children loved the toothpastes!  They each had a favourite, one flavour for each boy.  I loved that they were organic.  I loved that if the children swallowed the toothpaste I didn't have to worry about the concentration of chemicals -- unlike conventional toothpaste which you should never ever swallow.  Toothbrushing was not a battle, neither telling them to do it nor getting them to do it for the appropriate duration.  They loved the toothpastes and I loved not worrying and not nagging.

The toothbrush was the right size for children and I just couldn't get over the genius of a toothbrush out of cornstarch.  It is biodegradable and compostable!  It was such a "well duh" moment for me when I saw that, and I immediately starting thinking about all the toothbrushes thrown out every year and the pile of plastic it was creating.

THE GIVEAWAY:

TWO winners will win two tubes of toothpaste and a children's sized toothbrush!

Disclosure:
I was sent these products free of charge.
It has in no way affected my opinion.
This review is my opinion and has been written in my own words.

Alongside the toothpaste they have designed and manufactured the first children’s toothbrushes that are made of NON GMO cornstarch, and are therefore biodegradable and recyclable.

. When the toothbrush comes into contact with the opening of the toothpaste cap, bacteria etc. can be transferred to the tube.

I read on their site it's a good idea to replace toothbrushes every 8 weeks and after an illness. I'm guilty myself of waiting too long to replace toothbrushes.
